Responsibilities : Lead and mentor a team of software development engineers responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and tooling our cloud services. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of features and functionality aligning with the projects goals. Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and security protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure that everyone is aligned on project goals and progress. Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools and practices to streamline development workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality and reliability of our software. Understands various programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies, which allow you to make informed decisions and solve complex technical challenges. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. When problems arise, you use your experience and problem-solving skills to identify the root causes and implement effective solutions. Manage relationships with cloud service providers, tool vendors, and other external partners. Drive a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the team and across the organisation. Key Skills : 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams. Ability to hire and onboard developers at rapid rate. Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including but not limited to Java, C / C++, JavaScript etc. 7+ years of professional experience developing software applications. Expertise in public cloud, server-side technologies, databases and VOIP protocols. Awareness of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures to protect applications and data. A portfolio of past projects showcasing full-stack / VOIP development skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong commitment to delivering high-quality code and solutions on time and within scope. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline. Desirable : Experience with Contact Centre, IVR, Virtual Agents, VoIP and telecommunications is highly desirable. Experience with any public cloud platform (AWS or GCP) is a huge plus. Other requirements : This position requires the ability to be On Call.
