Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Java, SQL, and other relevant technologies;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements;
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of data systems;
- Implement and adhere to best practices for software development, CI/CD, and TDD;
- Optimize and enhance existing data processes for improved efficiency;
- Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues;
- Utilize Source Code Management (Git) for version control;
- Work with Build (XL Release) and Deploy (XL Deploy) tools for efficient software delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- +4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Java, SQL, and Linux.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, CI/CD, and TDD.
- Experience with optimization and performance improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and practices.
- Strong knowledge of Source Code Management using Git.
- Experience with Build (XL Release) and Deploy (XL Deploy) tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluent level of English;
- Living in Porto (hybrid role).
