What skills do you need to have?
- Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
- +4 year experience in COBOL programming;
- Familiarity with COBOL development tools;
- Knowledge of relational databases, especially DB2;
- Understanding of transactional systems principles, including CICS;
- Skills in SQL and data manipulation;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Strong willingness to learn, adapt to legacy technological environments, and grow professionally;
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Participate in the development and maintenance of complex COBOL applications;
- Collaborate with fellow team members to design, code, test, and implement effective solutions;
- Perform analysis and troubleshooting of technical issues, focusing on bug identification and resolution;
- Assist in technical documentation, including code and system specifications;
- Work with related technologies such as DB2 and CICS;
- Learn and adopt best practices in COBOL programming under the guidance of senior team members
